The 2020 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships will be held Feb. 27-29 in Providence, Rhode Island, at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center. More than 1,600 figure skaters from 93 of the top synchronized skating teams in the nation will vie for eight U.S. titles at the juvenile, intermediate, novice, junior, senior, collegiate, adult and masters divisions.

 

Jessica Calalang and Brian Johnson will represent Team USA at the 2020 World Figure Skating Championships next month, U.S. Figure Skating announced Wednesday.

U.S. Figure Skating announced the selection of Orleans Arena in Las Vegas as the host for 2020 Skate America, Oct. 23-25, 2020, and the host for the 2021 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships, Feb. 24-27, 2021.

Team USA will send eight junior athletes to compete at the Winter Youth Olympic Games Lausanne 2020. The 13-day competition runs Jan. 9-22 in Lausanne, Switzerland. The figure skating competition kicks off on Friday, Jan. 10 with the men’s and pairs short program and closes on Wednesday, Jan. 15 with the Team Event.

Team USA will send five teams to Nottingham, Great Britain, to compete at Britannia Cup 2020. The event is scheduled for Jan. 11-12 and is the second international competition of the 2019-20 season.

Thirty-eight Americans are set to compete in the figure skating events at the Winter World Masters Games 2020 in Innsbruck, Austria, from Jan. 13-19, 2020. Sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU), the figure skating competition will feature competitors representing 31 nations.

Team USA earned five medals at Britannia Cup 2020 in Nottingham, Great Britain. U.S. senior teams claimed the top two spots while the three junior teams swept the podium.

The 2021 U.S. Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships will be hosted in Notre Dame, Indiana, and Norwood, Massachusetts. 

The 2020 U.S. Synchronized Skating Qualifying Season begins on Jan. 15 with the Eastern, Midwestern and Pacific Coast Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships. 

Katarina Wolfkostin and Jeffrey Chen led Team USA with a bronze medal in the ice dance event at the Winter Youth Olympic Games Lausanne 2020.
