Based on the results of the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2021, the United States earned two Olympic entries in both the women’s and men’s competition with the opportunity to confirm a third entry at Nebelhorn Trophy. Alysa Liu and Vincent Zhou will compete to secure Olympic entries in the women’s and men’s disciplines for Team USA.

The United States continued along the 2021 International Skating Union (ISU) Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating (JGP) Series this week, earning three medals in Courchevel, France. This was the second consecutive event in France; the event was originally scheduled to take place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, but was relocated due to local quarantine regulations.

Eight U.S. athletes are headed to the second event of the 2021 International Skating Union (ISU) Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating (JGP) Series this week in Courchevel, France. This is the second consecutive event hosted in Courchevel; the event was originally scheduled to take place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, but was relocated due to local quarantine regulations.

Athletes Set for First JGP Series Event in France

Six U.S. athletes are headed to the first event of the 2021 International Skating Union (ISU) Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating (JGP) Series this week in Courchevel, France. This is the first JGP event since the entire series was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Competition starts on Thursday, Aug. 19, with the women’s and men’s short programs. The rhythm dance and women’s free skate will take place on Friday, Aug. 20, and the event will conclude with the men’s free skate and free dance on Saturday, Aug. 21.
