Two Teams Represent U.S. at ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships 2022

Two U.S. teams are headed to the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships 2022, set to take place March 17-19 in Innsbruck, Austria. The short program will take place at 12 p.m. ET on Friday, March 18, and competition will conclude with the free skate on Saturday, March 19 at 9:30 a.m. ET. Skyliners junior and Teams Elite will represent Team USA in Austria. Both teams were also named to the U.S. World Junior Synchronized Skating Team in 2020 but were unable to compete due to the pandemic.

U.S. Pairs Notch Two Top Eight Finishes in Beijing

The U.S. pairs teams notched two top-eight finishes at the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022, with Alexa Knierim and Brandon Frazier finishing sixth with 212.68 points and Ashley Cain-Gribble and Timothy LeDuc eighth with 198.05 points.

Team USA in Top 10 After Pairs Short Program in Beijing

Team USA is in the top 10 after the pairs short program at the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022. Alexa Knierim and Brandon Frazier lead the U.S. contingent with 74.23 points and sixth place. Ashley Cain-Gribble and Timothy LeDuc are seventh place with 74.13 points. This is the first time since 1998 that the U.S. had two pairs in the top 10 after an Olympic short program.

Alysa Liu led the field for Team USA with a seventh place finish in the women’s event at the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022. Mariah Bell finished 10th and Karen Chen 16th.

Hubbell and Donohue Win Bronze Medal in Beijing

Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue won the bronze medal in ice dance at the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 on Monday morning, marking the fifth consecutive Games in which a U.S. team stood on the podium in ice dance. Madison Chock and Evan Bates finished fourth and Kaitlin Hawayek and Jean-Luc Baker finished 11th.
