AMERICAN ASSIGNMENT CHANGES FOR GRAND PRIX EVENTS IN CANADA, FINLAND

U.S. Figure Skating announced changes to its delegation for the 2018 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series events in Canada and Finland.

Starr Andrews will compete at 2018 Skate Canada International, the second Grand Prix stop in Laval, Quebec. Andrews, who is making her Grand Prix debut at Skate America the week prior, will compete Oct. 26-28 at Place Bell.

Angela Wang will skate at the Helsinki Grand Prix of Figure Skating, Nov. 2-4 in Finland. This will be her second visit to Finland after finishing eighth at Finlandia Trophy in Espoo earlier this month.

Additionally, ice dancers Madison Chock and Evan Bates have withdrawn from the event in Helsinki. Chock, a two-time Olympian, is still recovering from surgery on her ankle. The couple is still scheduled to compete at Rostelecom Cup in Moscow from Nov. 16-18.
