The nation’s top collegiate figure skaters are set to compete for U.S. titles and scholarship money at the 2025 U.S. Collegiate Figure Skating Championships & Invitational July 18-20 in Flossmoor, Illinois.
The premier event of the collegiate figure season, The U.S. Collegiate Championships allows full-time, part-time, recently admitted and recently graduated collegiate student-athletes to compete as individuals while representing their school in junior and senior events.
Two reigning champions will return to defend their titles: Wren Warne-Jacobsen in the senior women’s event and Solomon Bristol in the junior men’s event.
Reigning senior women’s champion and University of Minnesota Twin Cities student Warne-Jacobson has her eyes set on her third consecutive gold after putting out dominant performances the past two years, winning her first two titles by 8.24 and 9.75 points.
Bristol, who helped Boston University to a record-breaking eighth National Intercollegiate Final win earlier this year in Notre Dame, Indiana, will look to clinch back-to back junior men’s titles.
Additionally, Genella Evans, Caroline Mura and Kelly Janetzko return to compete for back-to-back podium finishes in the junior women’s event.
Taira Shinohara, the junior U.S. men’s silver medalist at the 2024 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, will make his U.S. Collegiate Championships debut in the senior men’s event.
At the conclusion of the competition, the following scholarships will be awarded to the top three finishers in the senior women’s and men’s divisions and top two finishers from the junior women’s and men’s competitions:
Senior
- Women’s and men’s champion: $4,000
