U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships Head to Salt Lake City in 2026

Synchronized skating’s most prestigious national event to take place in Utah for the first time

U.S. Figure Skating today announced that the 2026 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships will travel to Salt Lake City, Utah.

The competition will take place March 4-7 at the Maverick Center, where U.S. champions will be crowned in eight disciplines – from juvenile to masters – culminating with the naming of the 2026 World Synchronized Skating Team after the senior combined event.

The site of the 2034 Olympic Winter Games, Salt Lake City – as well as the state of Utah – will serve as the host for the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships for the first time.

“We are excited to bring the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships to Salt Lake City for the first time,” said Matt Farrell, CEO of U.S. Figure Skating. “This event is a fantastic opportunity to spotlight the sport in an Olympic-caliber setting, and we’re hopeful to see synchronized skating return to the city as an Olympic event in 2034.”

The full list of teams competing at the U.S. Synchronized Championships will be announced following the three synchronized skating sectional finals, which will be held in January of 2026.

Tickets will go on sale in the fall of 2025.

"Sports Salt Lake, A Division of Visit Salt Lake, could not be more excited to welcome the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships to Salt Lake in 2026!” said Clay Partain, chief sports officer of Sports Salt Lake. “Taking place at a venue that was part of the 2002 Winter Games, this event presents a unique opportunity to showcase the growing sport of synchronized skating to our community.  Our hospitality community is ready to welcome the many teams of athletes and spectators to West Valley City and greater Salt Lake!”

“The U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships are a strong addition to Utah’s portfolio of world-class winter sporting events,” said Jeff Robbins, president and CEO of the Utah Sports Commission. “Bringing this prestigious championship to The State of Sport for the first time highlights Utah’s continued momentum on the road to the 2034 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.”
