U.S. Team Event Participants Announced for Rhythm Dance, Men’s and Pairs Short Programs

U.S. Figure Skating announced the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 Team Event participants for the men's short program, rhythm dance and pairs short program on Thursday evening. The Team Event will take place Feb. 4-7 at Capital Indoor Stadium in Beijing.

In the men's short program, 2018 Olympic Team Event bronze medalist Nathan Chen will take the ice for Team USA. Chen is a three-time World champion and six-time U.S. champion.

Three-time U.S. champions Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue will make their Team Event debut on Feb. 4 in the rhythm dance. Hubbell and Donohue are also three-time World medalists and 2018 Olympians.

2021 U.S. champions Alexa Knierim and Brandon Frazier will compete in the pairs short program. Knierim is a 2018 Olympic Team Event bronze medalist while Frazier is making his Olympic debut in China.

All three events will take place Friday, Feb. 4, with the men's short program kicking off competition at 9:55 a.m. (Thursday, Feb. 3, at 8:55 p.m. ET). The United States has medaled in the Team Event at the previous two Games, earning the bronze medal in 2014 and 2018.
