U.S. Sends Four Teams to Zagreb Snowflakes Trophy 2020 in Croatia

Team USA will send four teams to Zagreb, Croatia, to compete at the Zagreb Snowflakes Trophy 2020. The event is scheduled for Jan. 17-19 and is the third international competition of the 2019-20 season.

(1/14/20) – Team USA will send four teams to Zagreb, Croatia, to compete at Zagreb Snowflakes Trophy 2020. The event is scheduled for Jan. 17-19 and is the third international competition of the 2019-20 season.

Highlighting the senior competition, the Skyliners will make their second international appearance of the season, finishing fifth at the inaugural California Cup in November. Last year, the team won the silver medal in Zagreb. Adrian College will compete for the second straight week overseas after claiming the silver medal at Britannia Cup last Sunday. The Michigan-based team is making their first trip to Zagreb since they began competing internationally in 2016.

The U.S. will also send two teams to Croatia in the junior division. The Lexettes will make their first international appearance of the season. Last year, the team finished third at Leon Lurje Trophy and fifth at the French Cup. Making their debut on international ice, Team Image will kick off their season in Zagreb. The team finished sixth in the junior competition at the 2019 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships.
