U.S. International Synchronized Skating Season Continues at Leon Lurje Trophy

Team USA will send four teams to Goteborg, Sweden, to compete in the 2019 Leon Lurje Trophy. The event is scheduled for Jan. 25-27.

Coming off a fifth-place finish at Mozart Cup, the Haydenettes return for their second consecutive competition of the season. They are the defending champions at this event, topping the field by over five points last year. Miami University joins the Haydenettes in the senior division, making their first international appearance of the season. The Ohio-based team also podiumed at the event last season, finishing in third place.

In the junior division, the Lexettes will make their international season debut in Sweden. The team claimed the silver medal at the 2018 event. In their third season of international competition, the Starlights will also represent Team USA. The team finished third in the junior competition at the 2018 U.S. Synchronized Figure Skating Championships.
