U.S. International Synchro Season Continues at Britannia Cup

Team USA will send five teams to Nottingham, Great Britain, to compete at Britannia Cup 2020. The event is scheduled for Jan. 11-12 and is the second international competition of the 2019-20 season.

(1/7/20) - Team USA will send five teams to Nottingham, Great Britain, to compete at Britannia Cup 2020. The event is scheduled for Jan. 11-12 and is the second international competition of the 2019-20 season.

Coming off a second-place finish at the inaugural California Cup in November, the Haydenettes head overseas for the first time this season. This year marks their first appearance at the event. Adrian College joins the Haydenettes in the senior division, making their first international appearance of the season. The Michigan-based team is also making their first trip to Nottingham.

The U.S. will send three teams to Great Britain in the junior division. The Skyliners return to international ice after finishing second at California Cup. The reigning World Junior silver medalists have medaled in their last seven international appearance dating back to 2018 Cup of Berlin. Also making their second international appearance of the season, the Starlights will look for a spot on the podium in Nottingham. The team finished fourth at California Cup. DC EDGE will make their international debut this weekend in the junior competition. The new team finished seventh at 2019 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships.
