The partnership enhances the value of U.S. Figure Skating’s S.T.A.R.S. Program by creating customized and interactive feedback for athletes.
The S.T.A.R.S. program, which stands for Standardized Testing of Athleticism to Recognize Skaters, is an off-ice fitness assessment and development designed to support U.S. Figure Skating’s existing testing and competition progressions. In 2018, there will be more than twenty S.T.A.R.S. Combines around the United States.
The partnership with Ice Dynamics, which runs in conjunction with the S.T.A.R.S. program, enables participating athletes to use their results from S.T.A.R.S. combines to receive a customized program that is generated based on individual test results. For $99, S.T.A.R.S. athletes will receive an individualized 12-week exercise progression, as well as access to an area of the Ice Dynamics website which has dynamic warm-up, mobility/stability videos and other exercise programming
