The Peaks Figure Skating Club will host the 2019 National Solo Dance Final Sept. 4-7, 2019, at Peaks Ice Arena in Provo, Utah. This will be the first time the competition is hosted in Utah; Peaks Ice Arena previously served as a practice venue for the 2002 Winter Olympics.
In 2020, the event will travel back to the Midwest to Kalamazoo, Michigan. The 2020 National Solo Dance Final will be hosted by the Greater Kalamazoo Skating Association at the Wings Event Center.
The National Solo Dance Final is the culmination of the National Solo Dance Series, which runs annually from March to August. The series includes a combined event comprised of a solo free dance and solo pattern dances (or short dance at the junior and senior levels), a solo pattern dance and a shadow dance event, where two skaters perform pattern dances side-by-side. The series is comprised of around 30 competitions each year.
