U.S. Figure Skating Announces Attendance Figures for 2019 GEICO U.S. Figure Skating Championships

U.S. Figure Skating announced today the final attendance figures for the 2019 GEICO U.S. Figure Skating Championships held Jan. 18-27, 2019 at the Detroit Skating Club and Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.

The event, which returned to Detroit for the first time in 25 years, attracted 70,886 attendees. The junior and championship-level events and the Skating Spectacular, held Jan. 22-27 at Little Caesars Arena, were highlighted by a near-capacity crowd on Friday and Saturday evening. Over 7,000 attendees watched the pairs free skate, men’s short program and free dance. In addition, 8,179 people were in attendance to witness Alysa Liu becomes the youngest U.S. lady to win the title on Friday, Jan. 25.
