U.S. Figure Skating will host the International Skating Union (ISU) World Synchronized Skating Championships 2020 in Lake Placid, New York. The event will be held at the Lake Placid Olympic Center, April 3-5, 2020.

"We are thrilled that the ISU has once again chosen the United States to host this prestigious synchronized skating event," U.S. Figure Skating Executive Director David Raith said. "Lake Placid has a storied history in the sport of figure skating and in the Olympic community. We are eager to welcome the international synchronized skating community to this historic town for the first time ever."

This is the first time Lake Placid has been selected to host the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships and the fifth time the U.S. has hosted the event, most recently in 2017 when it was held in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The United States also hosted the World Synchronized Championships in 2000, its inaugural year, in Minneapolis. Lake Placid played host to the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships in 2002 and has held numerous Skate America events, most recently in 2017 at the Herb Brooks Arena.
