Two U.S. teams are headed to the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships 2019 in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, this weekend.

Two U.S. teams are headed to the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships 2019 in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, this weekend. The short program will take place on Friday, March 15 and competition will conclude with the free skate on Saturday, March 16.

The Skyliners, who won their fifth career U.S. junior title in February, look to return to the podium after winning a silver medal at the 2018 event in Zagreb, Croatia, which marked the highest placement for a U.S. team in the history of the event. From the Skating Club of New York, Team USA 1 hopes to continue their international success this season having collected silver medals at Mozart Cup and French Cup earlier this year.

The Starlights, who will be skating as Team USA 2, will make their World Junior Championships debut in Switzerland. The Illinois-based team claimed the silver medal at the 2019 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships. They also found international success this season, winning the silver medal at Zagreb Snowflakes Trophy and bronze medal at Leon Lurje Trophy.
