Two Teams Head to World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships

Two U.S. teams are headed to the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships 2020, set to take place March 13-14 in Nottingham, Great Britain. The short program will take place at 11:50 a.m. ET on Friday, March 13, and competition will conclude with the free skate on Saturday, March 14 at 9:30 a.m. ET.

Skyliners, who won their fourth consecutive U.S. junior title in February, look to return to the podium for the third straight season after winning a silver medal at the 2018 event and bronze in 2019 in Switzerland. From the Skating Club of New York, the team hopes to continue their international success this season having collected the gold medal at Britannia Cup and the silver medal at California Cup. The team was ranked second in the inaugural Challenger Series Synchronized Skating.

Teams Elite will make their World Junior Championships debut. In just their second year as a junior team, the Illinois-based team claimed the silver medal at the 2020 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships. They also found international success this season, winning the silver medal at Spring Cup to rank third in the Challenger Series.
