NBC SPORTS GROUP AND U.S. FIGURE SKATING ANNOUNCE 2018-19 TELEVISION SCHEDULE

U.S. Figure Skating and NBC Sports Group announced today the broadcast schedule for the 2018-19 figure skating season. 

Having partnered since 2008, this season marks the first of a long-term media rights agreement between the two that was announced this past Spring and will run through 2026.

Beginning with Skate America, NBC Sports Group will present an unprecedented 80+ hours of coverage, including 30+ hours of figure skating coverage on NBC, with an additional 50+ hours airing on NBCSN. Additional programming plus encores of NBC and NBCSN figure skating coverage will be presented on the Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA. Coverage will showcase the U.S. Figure Skating Championships, ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series, including Skate America, ISU World Championships, ISU Four Continents Championships and the ISU European Championships.

NBC Sports Group will kick off its Grand Prix Series coverage with 2018 Skate America set for Oct. 19-21 in Everett, Washington. The event will feature seven hours of coverage on NBC and NBCSN, including two live coverage windows. The entire event will be available on the “Figure Skating Pass” on NBC Sports Gold. The Grand Prix Series concludes Dec. 6-9 with coverage of the 2018 Grand Prix Final from Vancouver, including coverage on NBCSN on Friday, Dec. 7 and Saturday, Dec. 8.

NBC Sports Group's four-day live telecast window for the 2019 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, which will be held Jan. 24-27, 2019, in Detroit, features live coverage of each discipline, including primetime coverage of the ladies short program and free skate on Thursday, Jan. 24 and Friday, Jan. 25, respectively. The Skating Spectacular will air in mid-February after the U.S. Championships on NBC.

Following the U.S. Championships, NBC Sports Group will broadcast 13 hours of the 2019 Four Continents Championships, which will be held Feb. 7-10 in Anaheim, California. The ladies and men’s competition with be covered live with nine hours of skating on NBCSN.

NBC and NBCSN will cover 17 hours of the ISU World Figure Skating Championships, which are set for March 18-24, in Saitama, Japan. The ladies and men’s free skate will be featured in primetime on Friday, March 22, and Saturday, March 23. A World Championships recap show will air on NBC at 3 p.m. (ET) Sunday, April 14.

Coverage on NBC and NBCSN is live streamed on NBCSports.com, and the NBC Sports app. Coverage on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA is available on OlympicChannel.com, the Olympic Channel app, NBCSports.com, and the NBC Sports app.
