U.S. Figure Skating announced today that the lower bowl all-event tickets for the International Skating Union (ISU) World Synchronized Skating Championships 2020 are sold out. Ticket sales opened on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 12 p.m. ET and the 4,000 seats sold out in six days. Additional all-event ticket options will go on sale on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 12 p.m. ET.
Remaining tickets can be ordered at www.worldsynchro2020.com/tickets. The remaining ticket sections and prices are as follows: upper bowl all-event tickets, $115; obstructed upper bowl all-event tickets, $100; obstructed lower bowl all-event tickets, $135. A limited number of tickets in obstructed seats of the lower bowl are available. Seats offer 50-75% visibility of the ice surface, but have a full view of video boards. All tickets are subject to a $10 administration fee and all sales are final. All-event tickets include access to all official practice sessions, the short program and free skate.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the event is set for April 3-4, 2020, at Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, New York. This is the first time Lake Placid has been selected to host the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships and the fifth time the U.S. has hosted the event, most recently in 2017 when it was held in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The United States also hosted the World Synchronized Championships in 2000, its inaugural year, in Minneapolis. Lake Placid played host to the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships in 2002 and has held numerous Skate America events, most recently in 2017.
