Four U.S. Athletes Head to Gran Premio d'Italia This Week

Hubbell and Donohue, Green and Parsons head to their second Grand Prix event of the season.

Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue and Caroline Green and Michael Parsons are set to compete this week at the Gran Premio d’Italia (Grand Prix of Italy). Scheduled for Nov. 5-7, this is the third stop of the 2021 International Skating Union (ISU) Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series.

Both ice dance teams are competing in their second Grand Prix event of the season. Hubbell and Donohue won the title at 2021 Guaranteed Rate Skate America. Green and Parsons head to Italy just a week after finishing fourth at 2021 Skate Canada International.

Fans can watch Team USA live and on-demand on Peacock Premium. The Gran Premio d’Italia will also be broadcast post-event on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 4-6 p.m. ET on NBC. Results and schedules are available on the Grand Prix Series Competition Central page on the U.S. Figure Skating Fan Zone.

The Grand Prix Series, now in its 26th season, consists of six international events in a cumulative point-scoring format. Each athlete or team is eligible to score points in up to two of the six scheduled events. The top six point-earners in each discipline qualify for the 2021 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final, set for Dec. 9-12, in Osaka, Japan.
