ALYSA LIU WINS SILVER AT 2018 CHALLENGE CUP

2018 U.S. junior champion Alysa Liu won the silver medal at the 2018 Challenge Cup this week.

Competing in the advanced novice ladies field, Liu posted the highest short program score of the event with 42.79 points. She finished the competition with a total of 129.78. Japan’s Hanna Yoshida and Kinayu Yokoi placed first and third, respectively.

Junior ladies Gabriella Izzo and Akari Nakahara made their junior international debut in Den Haag, Netherlands. Izzo finished fourth with 153.62 points while Nakahara came in fifth with 143.00.

Max Lake represented the United States in the junior men’s competition in his first international outing. He rallied from ninth place in the short program to finish seventh overall with 143.89 points.
