2020 French Cup Concludes

Four American teams competed in Rouen, France at the 2020 French Cup this past weekend, marking the third stop of the Challenger Series Synchronized Skating.

Four American teams competed in Rouen, France at the 2020 French Cup this past weekend, marking the third stop of the Challenger Series Synchronized Skating. 

In the senior competition, the Haydenettes led the way for Team USA securing a fifth-place finish with a total score of 195.62. After earning 64.06 points in the short program, the Massachusetts-based team tallied 131.56 points in the free skate. Just behind the Haydenettes, Miami University finished in sixth place (179.48 points), behind a 63.56-point short program and 115.90-points free skate. 

For the United States in the junior competition, Skyliners Junior finished just off the podium, in fourth overall. Skyliners earned 183.00 overall points, behind a 62.65-point short program and a third-place 120.35 point free skate. Teams Elite finished fifth overall with 179.41 points, after earning 62.60 points in the short program and 116.81 points in the free skate. 

The Challenger Series Synchronized Skating continues next week at the Spring Cup 2020 in Sesto San Giova, Italy.
