2019 National Solo Dance Final Begins This Week

The 2019 National Solo Dance Final will open this week at the Peaks Ice Arena in Provo, Utah.

The 2019 National Solo Dance Final will open this week at the Peaks Ice Arena in Provo, Utah. Hosted by the Peaks Figure Skating Club, the event is the culmination of the 2019 National Solo Dance Competition Series and will run from Wednesday, Sept. 4, to Saturday, Sept. 7.

The final will feature skaters from the Eastern, Midwestern and Pacific Coast sections with 218 athletes scheduled to perform. Skaters will compete in the solo pattern dance and shadow dance events at all levels, and in the combined event at the juvenile, intermediate, novice, junior and senior levels.

For the ninth year, solo dance skaters qualified to compete in the final by participating in other competitions within the series. The 2019 National Solo Dance Series began in March and concluded in August. More than 450 skaters competed in 29 events across the country this season.
