Four of Team USA’s most successful synchronized skating teams head to 2024 Hevelius Cup – the fourth Challenger Series Synchronized Skating event – Feb. 2-4 in Gdansk, Poland.

Representing the United States at the senior level will be the Haydenettes and Miami University while Skyliners junior and Teams Elite will skate for the red, white and blue in the junior event. All four teams are making their second Challenger Series appearance.

The Haydenettes, the most decorated U.S. synchronized skating team with 30 U.S. championships and five World bronze medals, earned silver at Budapest Cup to start their international season.

The reigning U.S. silver medalists and 2023 World Team members, Miami University travels to Gdansk looking to improve on their sixth-place result at Budapest Cup.

Both junior teams won gold at their first Challenger Series event of the season.

Skyliners junior, who have medaled at the World Junior Championships in each of their last four appearances, got off to a perfect start internationally with gold at Lumiere Cup, their fourth Challenger Series medal.

Teams Elite, a team that also knows what it feels to stand on the podium at the World Junior Championships, clinched the top spot on the podium at Budapest Cup. They lead Team USA with the most medals in the Challenger Series with five.

Competition begins Friday, Feb. 2 with the short programs and concludes Saturday, Feb. 3 with the free skates.

The Challenger Series, which began in 2019-20, consists of up to five international competitions linked together to give adequate opportunities for synchronized skating teams to compete at the international level, earn World Standing Points and prepare for competing at the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships.
