Nearly 1,000 skaters are slated to participate at the 2024 Excel National Final and Festival, which returns to The Skating Club of Boston in Norwood, Massachusetts, July 10-14.
The Excel National Final and Festival is comprised of two components: the Excel Series Final and the Open-Invitation Excel Series Competition.
The Excel Series Final is an invite-only event that brings together the top performers from the Excel Series at the senior, junior, novice, intermediate plus, intermediate, juvenile plus, juvenile, pre-juvenile plus and preliminary plus levels. Skaters will showcase their strengths and hone in their skills while taking part in a competition as part of the experience. As part of the Final, the Finalist Camp gives competitors the opportunity to take part in on- and off-ice training sessions, led by Team USA athletes, including Alysa Liu, Ashley Cain, Camden Pulkinen and Andrew Torgashev.
Skaters at the Aspire 1-4, preliminary and pre-preliminary levels will be able to take part in the Open-Invitation Excel Series competition. This portion of the event gives skaters the opportunity to practice performing in a competitive environment.
Alongside medals, presentation awards will be presented to those who earn the highest presentation score at each qualifying level of the Excel National Final. Additionally, The Founders Trophy will be awarded to one man and one woman who demonstrate the judging panel’s favorite presentation.
