2024 Virtual Referees School for Singles/Pairs and Ice Dance

This page provides information on the 2024 Virtual Referees School being held Feb. 10, 2024, via Zoom. Education (all attendees) and testing (for those who do not currently hold a referee appointment) will be available for singles and ice dance referees. (A synchronized referee school will be held in late spring or early summer 2024.)
Those with no referee appointment will receive a short quiz and must complete an assigned 104. Once completed with a passing score, the candidate will be promoted to 6.0 referee based on their current judging level appointment in the appropriate discipline. You must attend the entire school to be eligible to receive the quiz.
For those who already hold a referee appointment, you must apply for promotion per the appointment guidelines but are encouraged to attend the school for education.

PROMOTIONAL SCHOOL OFFERS
- Singles/Pairs
- To test for a 6.0 singles/pairs referee appointment
- For education and school credit only for singles/pairs referees
- Dance
- To test for a 6.0 dance referee appointment
- For education and school credit only for dance referees
IMPORTANT:
- Because the education and testing will run in parallel for singles and dance test appointments, it is NOT possible to attend for more than one discipline.
COST
- $25 to test
- $10 for education only
QUALIFICATIONS
To be eligible to attend, you must:
- Hold one or more appointments as a judge in the discipline in which you'd like to attend.
- Be a current member in good standing of U.S. Figure Skating (Learn to Skate USA membership does not fulfill the membership requirement) and meet all compliance requirements.
CEUS AVAILABLE FOR THOSE WHO ATTEND
- A maximum of 25 CEUs can be earned by those who attend the full promotional school.

Applications will only be accepted through this online form. Payment is not required with the application but will be requested later of those who are accepted.
The deadline to apply is Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024
No one will be notified of acceptance until the deadline has passed. All applicants will be notified of acceptance by Feb. 5, 2024.
