U.S. Figure Skating is pleased to announce the hiring of Isabelle McLemore as its new vice president, communications.
With more than 20 years of communications experience, McLemore is a proven expert in global communications and media relations.
McLemore has previous experience in several Olympics sports, including swimming and tennis, and also worked at the Canadian Olympic Committee as well as the UFC.
During her four years as the managing director of communications at USA Swimming, McLemore developed and led the company’s organizational communications strategies. As an executive team member and the company’s spokesperson, she led public relations efforts for all areas of the organization, including corporate programs and services, foundation initiatives, major events and national team athletes, in addition to crisis communications and media operations.
“Belle is a seasoned professional and is an incredible addition to U.S. Figure Skating to help both our organizational communications and provide leadership going into the Olympic Winter Games in February,” said U.S. Figure Skating CEO Matt Farrell. “The depth of her experience across Olympic and professional sports, along with her personal experience as a figure skater growing up, give her a great background and perspective.”
In her role as the vice president of communications, McLemore will oversee all aspects of U.S. Figure Skating’s internal and external communications. She will also work to ensure effective messaging across all communication channels, develop and execute communication strategies, and manage media relationships.
