Team USA Synchronized Skating International Assignments Announced

Fourteen teams to represent Team USA internationally during 2024-25 season

U.S. Figure Skating today announced the international assignments for the synchronized skating teams who will represent Team USA during the 2024-25 season.

Three senior, two senior elite 12 and nine junior teams will skate for the United States this season, traveling to eight international events between December and March, including the four Challenger Series events.

All three senior teams – the Haydenettes, Skyliners and Miami University – will attend two Challenger Series events, which consist of four competitions throughout the 2024-25 season and offer teams an opportunity to earn World Standing Points as well as prepare for the ISU Championships.

Six junior teams will compete at one Challenger Series event with the Lexettes, Skyliners junior, Team Image and Teams Elite securing two assignments each in the Series.

The final Challenger Series event, the U.S. Synchronized Skating International Classic, will take place on home soil at The Skating Club of Boston in Norwood, Massachusetts, Feb. 7-8, 2025.

Team USA’s top three senior teams, including the Haydenettes – who train at The Skating Club of Boston and won the World silver medal last season – will be in attendance, as well as the top four junior teams from the 2024 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships.

Among the junior teams slated to compete in Norwood are Skyliners junior and Teams Elite. Skyliners junior enters this season as the 2024 World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships bronze medalist while Teams Elite was the 2024 Challenger Series champion in the junior division.

This marks the first time the United States has hosted a Challenger Series Synchronized Skating event since 2019. To purchase tickets for the U.S. Synchronized Skating International Classic, click here.

Team USA’s two senior elite 12 teams, Hayden Select and Teams Elite 12 – a new senior elite 12 team this season – will head to Poland for the 9th PGE Hevelius Cup.

In the 2023-24 season, Team USA clinched nine medals at the Challenger Series and a total of 11 medals during the international season in the leadup to the World Championships and World Junior Championships.
