Gracie Gold Withdraws from Grand Prix Series Assignments
(10/13/17) -- U.S. Figure Skating announced today that two-time U.S. champion Gracie Gold has withdrawn from Cup of China and Internationaux de France as she continues to receive professional treatment for off-ice matters.
Gold is the 2014 and ’16 U.S. champion and a 2014 Olympic bronze medalist in the team event. She finished fourth in the ladies event at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games.
The 2017 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series begins Oct. 20 with Rostelecom Cup in Moscow. Cup of China and Internationaux de France take place in November.
Traditionally the first Grand Prix Series event of the season, Skate America will be the final competition of the six-event Series. 2017 Bridgestone Skate America will be held Nov. 23-26 in Lake Placid, New York.
