U.S. Figure Skating Makes SKATING Magazine Archive Available to Public

U.S. Figure Skating has made its SKATING Magazine Archive available to the public, as it continues the celebration of the organization’s 100-year anniversary.

U.S. Figure Skating has made the SKATING Magazine Archive available to the public as part of its centennial celebration.

Originally launched as benefit to members in 2013, the fully searchable digital database provides access to every story and photo published in the magazine since the inaugural issue in December 1923.

“There is no better way help celebrate our organization’s 100-year anniversary than to allow everyone the opportunity to learn about the storied history of U.S. Figure Skating,” SKATING Magazine Editor Troy Schwindt said. “We hope that members and fans alike will enjoy remembering some of their favorite skating moments and heroes as they take this walk down memory lane.”

The free archive can be accessed by going to www.skatingmagazinearchive.com. It allows users to read text-only versions or view pages as they originally appeared in the magazine. Articles may be downloaded as PDFs and printed to share or display, and photos have been arranged in galleries associated with their original story
