Team USA in Top 10 at 2018 ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships

(4/7/18) - Team USA finished in the top 10 at the 2018 ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships this weekend. The event was held in Stockholm, Sweden, from April 6 to April 7.

The Haydenettes finished in seventh overall in their 19th consecutive trip to the World Championships with a total of 191.19 points. The Lexington, Massachusetts-based team was in fourth place after the short program with 71.22, but dropped to eighth in the free skate with a score of 119.97. With a team consisting of nine new skaters, the top U.S. team won their 26th and ninth consecutive U.S. title earlier this year.

In their World debut, the Skyliners placed ninth with 172.00 points total. They earned a score of 63.50 for their short program and 108.50 for their free skate. The top 10 finish wraps up the New York-based team’s most successful international season yet.
