U.S. Figure Skating To Showcase Live Event Results at State Farm U.S. Championships

(1/2/05) U.S. Figure Skating Online will present live event results during the 2005 State Farm U.S. Championships for the first time in the history of the event. Fans will be able to watch scores as they progress for all senior and junior events, allowing them to immediately know the leaders. Novice events are competed under closed marking and therefore cannot be part of the live event scoring.

The live event results module was successfully tested behind the scenes at the Marshalls World Cup of Skating in December. During the junior and senior events at the upcoming U.S. Championships, U.S. Figure Skating accountants will post a new results file after each skater. Results will automatically refresh on the web site approximately every four minutes. During the original dance, free skate or free dance, users will be able to view live results of that particular segment as well as overall results.

Live event results will begin with the junior ladies short program on Monday, Jan. 10, 1:30 p.m. Pacific time. Look for links to the live scoring beginning Sunday, Jan. 9.
