Individual Tickets for 2005 State Farm U.S. Championships Go On Sale Sept. 25

(8/17/04) - U.S. Figure Skating has announced that individual event tickets for the 2005 State Farm U.S. Championships will go on sale to the public starting at 9 a.m. (Pacific time) on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004. The event is scheduled for Jan. 9-16, 2005, at Portland's Rose Garden Arena and Memorial Coliseum.

Individual event tickets will range in price from $10 to $85 plus applicable convenience charges, and seats will be located in the lower and upper levels of the arena seating area. Tickets are available at The Rose Quarter Box Office, all TicketMaster outlets (www.ticketmaster.com), or charge-by-phone at 503.224.4400.

Currently, only all-event ticket packages, which provide admission to all competitive events and all practice sessions, are available for sale. Gold Blade and Silver Blade all-event ticket packages are sold out, but additional all-event seating in the lower, concourse and upper levels is still available. An all-event ticket package includes admission to all practice sessions and all championship, junior and novice level competitions at both the Rose Garden Arena and Memorial Coliseum. There are up to 19 sessions during the week-long competition, including 26 different events. All-event tickets are divisible and transferable.

The only event not included in the all-event package is the Chevy Skating Spectacular, which is a non-competitive exhibition event featuring the gold, silver and bronze medalists from all championship level events, as well as the champions of the junior and novice level events. Tickets for the Chevy Skating Spectacular can be purchased in addition to the all-event ticket package.

The State Farm U.S. Figure Skating Championships is annually one of the most televised and watched sporting events in the country, with an average of 13 hours of national network broadcast on ABC and ESPN. With more than 250 championship, junior and novice level figure skaters from all over the United States competing for U.S. titles in the categories of ladies, men's, pairs and dance, the event is expected to draw more than 100,000 spectators.
