Abbott Places 12th at 2014 Olympic Winter Games

(2/14/14) - Jeremy Abbott (Aspen, Colo.) finished 12th in the men's singles competition at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.

Abbott totaled 232.70 points overall, including a season-high 160.12 for his Muse free skate. The free skate came one night after Abbott suffered a tall on his quad toeloop attempt and laid on the ice for several seconds before resuming his program.

Abbott, a two-time Olympian, owns four U.S. titles and was a member of the bronze-medal winning team that won bronze in the inaugural Olympic Figure Skating Team Event on Sunday. Abbott is next expected to compete at the 2014 ISU World Figure Skating Championships March 24-30, in Saitama, Japan.
