Team USA Continues Busy Week in Salt Lake City, Austria

The International Figure Skating Classic is a senior international event in which athletes are eligible to earn ISU points. Saturday's competition featured the free dance and men's free skate.
Max Aaron earned his first senior international gold medal, totaling 231.27 points. His teammates finished behind him in succession as Americans were one through four. Armin Mahbanoozadeh and Ross Miner finished second and third, respectively, while Timothy Dolensky closed his senior international debut in fourth place.
Lynn Kriengkrairut & Logan Giulietti-Schmitt were the lone U.S. ice dancing medalists, placing third. Madison Chock & Evan Bates, who led after the short dance, finished fourth and Anastasia Cannuscio & Colin McMansu placed 6th. Canadians Piper Gilles & Paul Poirier and Alexandra Paul & Mitchell Islam finished one-two, respectively.
The ladies and pairs events conclude Sunday with Team USA poised to win gold and silver in ladies. Agnes Zawadzki skated a flawless "Sex and the City 2" short program that netted 65.24 points. Her teammate Gracie Gold is right behind her in second place followed by reigning Canadian champion Amelie Lacoste.
Canadians and Americans also sit atop the pairs' leader board with Kirsten Moore-Towers & Dylan Moscovitch sitting in first place. Paige Lawrence & Rudi Swiegers are in second. Team USA's Felicia Zhang & Nate Bartholomay made their international debut Friday and sit in third going into the free skate.
Meanwhile, the 2012 U.S. Challenge Skate is also under way in Salt Lake City with American novice- and junior-level skaters sharing ice with the senior athletes.

Across the Atlantic, JGP Austria concluded with the men's and ladies free skates.
Nathan Chen, the 2012 U.S. champion, won his first JGP title in style Saturday. He totaled 222.00 points, more than 37 points above his closest competition.
Hannah Miller and Samantha Cesario finished second and third, respectively, behind Russia's Elena Radionova.br>
