Connecticut Skating Academy Selected to Host 2014 New England Regional Championships
(6/12/12) - The 2014 New England Regional Figure Skating Championships will be held Oct. 12-15, 2013, in Newington, Conn.Last week, U.S. Figure Skating announced the host cities for the rest of the 2014 regional and sectional championships, which will take place in the fall of 2013 prior to the 2014 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships Jan. 5-12, 2014, in Boston.
The top four skaters in the ladies and men's events at each of the nine regional championships will qualify for one of three sectional championships. The sectional championships are the only qualifying phase for pairs and ice dancing. The top four finishers at each level in each discipline at the sectional championships will earn a berth to the U.S. Championships.
