Three U.S. Figure Skating Representatives Elected to ISU Positions

(6/30/06) - The 51st International Skating Union (ISU) Congress concluded today in Budapest, Hungary, with elections held for the ISU Council and ISU committees. Three U.S. Figure Skating representatives were among those elected.

Former U.S. Figure Skating President Phyllis Howard was re-elected to one of four figure skating positions on the ISU Council. Bob Horen was elected to the ice dancing technical committee, and Karen Wolanchuk was elected to the synchronized skating technical committee.

In addition, former U.S. Figure Skating president Claire Ferguson was elected as an honorary member.
