Adam Rippon

Prior to the 2007-08 season, Adam Rippon had medaled just once in five tries at the U.S. Championships, a silver in novice in 2005. Realizing he needed a change, he began working with Nikoli Morozov in Hackensack, N.J., in February 2007. That decision has proven to be a wise one as he won four of the five events he entered this season, including the Junior Grand Prix event in Romania, the JGP Final, the junior competition at the 2008 U.S. Championships and the World Junior Championships. Even more startling than his string of successes is the way he won those competitions. Rippon's margin of victory in Romania was almost 20 points, he took the JGP Final by more than 15 points, he secured his U.S. title by more than 10 points, and he bested his nearest competition at the World Juniors by more than five points.
